A horrifying two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in Etobicoke, Toronto, has left three children dead and three others injured. The crash occurred just after midnight on Sunday, May 18, 2025, and involved a suspected impaired driver, now in police custody.

According to CBC News, a Dodge Caravan exited Highway 401 at Renforth Drive at high speed. The driver failed to stop at a red light and crossed the median, colliding with a Chrysler Pacifica that was stopped at the intersection.
Inside the Chrysler Pacifica were two adults and four children. Tragically, a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene, and a 6-year-old girl died later in hospital. The remaining passengers, including a 10-year-old, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan, 19-year-old Ethan Lehouillie of Georgetown, Ontario, has been arrested and charged with:
- Three counts of impaired operation causing death
- Three counts of dangerous driving causing death
- Impaired operation causing bodily harm
Toronto police said the collision is being investigated by their Traffic Services unit. They urge any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
